I am SO looking forward to all the food on game day! It helps to have some strategy going in. Start with some cheese and crackers, then veggies and dip (to get the healthy part out of the way). Then move on to the hot cheese dips and treat yourself to some finger foods. Make sure you have a co*cktail somewhere to balance out the food.

After a few hours, I like to eat something heartier, like a sandwich or tacos. This is also a good time to grab some wings! And when you think you just can't eat anymore, take a break and just grab a handful of chips or Chex Mix.

When the game is over and people leave, sneak in for one last round of your favorite Super Bowl bites and try it again. The goal is to end the day feeling super stuffed, and I always win at this challenge.

More game day meal ideas

After all the snacks and apps, it's nice to have a few heartier options on game day. Let people eat whatever else they want, but add a few other foods that can serve as more of a meal for those who are particularly hungry. Tacos, nachos, burgers and chicken fillets are always a great idea!
